Småland gastronomy and design in close harmony.
PM & Vänner
A distinctly Småland whole.
In the heart of Växjö lies PM & Vänner, a destination where gastronomy, architecture and design come together in a distinctly Småland setting. Founded in 1992, the business has grown to encompass a hotel, restaurant, bistro, bar, bakery, as well as meeting and event spaces.
When PM & Vänner Hotel opened in 2014, its gastronomic philosophy was also given physical form through the architecture. The hotel was designed by Jonas Lindvall of Lindvall A&D, together with Arkitektbolaget, with Ingegerd Råman as artistic advisor.

Furniture for many different kinds of meetings.
For the interiors at PM & Vänner, Stolab has supplied Hundranian and Miss Holly – two chairs with distinct characters, yet with the same clear foundation in wood, craftsmanship and long-term functionality.
In the restaurant and meeting spaces, Hundranian’s clean silhouette creates a calm rhythm around the large tables. The chair is designed for public environments where flexibility and durability need to be combined with a carefully considered expression. In the more intimate areas of the hotel, Miss Holly adds a softer character and a distinct sense of craftsmanship.
Together, the furniture works across a wide range of settings – from restaurants and hotel rooms to larger gathering and conference spaces – without overpowering the room.

A cohesive whole with roots in Småland.
At PM & Vänner, the furniture forms part of a broader story about the place. Wood, stone, textiles and light interact with the gastronomy and architecture to create environments that feel carefully considered down to the smallest detail.
For Stolab, the project is a fine example of how solid wood furniture can contribute to a strong identity in hotel and restaurant interiors, while also meeting the demands for quality, function and durability placed on furniture for contract environments.
