We guarantee 20 years, but hope for a lifetime.
Lilla Åland - 20 year warranty
The Lilla Åland chair is a timeless icon of Swedish furniture design — created to last for generations, both in form and function. Over the years, the chair has become a natural part of many homes and often carries personal stories that live on through time.
That is why we offer a 20-year warranty.
At Stolab, we have always crafted furniture from solid wood with a focus on quality, sustainability, and longevity. To us, sustainability means creating furniture that is used, loved, and passed down through generations.
We don’t just call it a warranty — we hope it lasts a lifetime.

About Stolab
A Passion for Wood Since 1907
At Stolab, we create solid wood furniture with soul, character, and lasting durability. Our design is contemporary yet timeless, where quality and functionality ensure that each piece becomes even more beautiful with age — made to live with, use, and pass on.
Since 1907, we have crafted our furniture in Smålandsstenar, where traditional craftsmanship meets modern production. This is where knowledge, craftsmanship, and a passion for wood come together under one roof. By keeping design, manufacturing, and assembly in the same place, we maintain full control over every detail and ensure the high quality and durability that define Stolab.

Nestorn inom möbelformgivning
Carl Malmsten
The designer behind Lilla Åland is Carl Malmsten, the renowned master of Swedish furniture design and a name synonymous with craftsmanship, lasting quality and meticulous attention to detail. Yet in the case of Lilla Åland, the design process was spontaneous and almost accidental. The inspiration was discovered in a church on Åland during an excursion and was quickly sketched by Malmsten’s colleague, a young Sven Fryklund. So although Lilla Åland is about as Swedish as it gets, it is named after a place beyond Sweden’s borders. And it is not particularly small, either. Generous and welcoming, it is made for long conversations – and even a drawn-out game of Monopoly.
